Pro Painted
When you're looking at miniatures, if you want one already painted you might see them labeled "pro painted."
While it isn't always the case, a pro paint job is supposed to denote one of excellent quality with attention to detail. Note that I said it is supposed to mean a better paint job.
As with anything, there are those that tack the label "pro painted" onto miniatures, when they really don't do a very good job of painting. If you are buying from a new supplier, it would be wise to try a smaller order first to check first hand what kind of job they do. Then if you are satisfied the miniatures are indeed pro painted, you can always place a larger order.
Another thing you can do is check around with gaming acquaintainces or look on forums, and see who is being recommended.
You might also want to consider painting miniatures yourself. There are books like FOUNDRY MINIATURES PAINTING AND MODELING GUIDE
Look for the "pro painted" label to find well-painted miniatures, but as always, "Let the buyer beware!"
