Allies War Sea

If you are interested in World War II history and like minature wargaming, then you would probably like Axis & Allies. This wargaming system includes a line of 1/100 scale miniature armor (15 mm figure scale) collectible miniatures and a set of rules.
The units in the game represent individual World War II era vehicles and artillery or squads of infantry.
First released in 2005, Axis & Allies is currently produced by Avalon Hill. They are a division of the game company Wizards of the Coast, which is a subsidiary of Hasbro.
The miniatures game focuses on the tactical battle, with units fielded on either side of the battle being rarely greater than a company instead of being a game of grand strategy like the board games. Each miniature has a point value to allow balanced matches to be made.
There is typically 100 points for each side during tournament play. The infantry units usually have values of fewer than 10 points each and vehicles range from less than 10 to 50 or more based on relative strengths. The map board is made of 2" (5 cm) hexes, with different terrain types represented within.
